Either check out the FDA site regularly or sign up for email alerts, because Pet food and treats do get recalled. Just today I was alerted that the dog food Kita was eating was recalled due to potential salmonella...very scary because if I didn't get that info from FDA it is unlikely that I would have found out at all.
